Nomenclature
SUMMARY
Plant: Small, 10 cm high terrestrial.
Tuber: 7 mm long.
Stem: 6 mm long, glabrous.
Cataphyll: obovoid-cylindric, 6 mm long, abruptly acuminate.
Leaves: broadly ovate-cordate, 22 by 15 mm, acuminate, base cordate, midrib distinct but hardly prominent on either side, basal nerves 3 on either side of midrib, only the inner one reaching apical part of midrib, outermost very short, suprabasal nerves 4 or 5, branched or unbranched, connate to inner basal nerve, margin crinkly, irregularly crenulate.
Pedicel: not known
Bract: ovate, 11 by 2 mm, caudate-subulate, glabrous.
Ovary: not known
Median sepal: boatshaped, curved, strongly laterally expressed, 23 by 16 mm, 9-nerved, glabrous
Lateral sepals: linear, 28 by 0.8 mm, glabrous. (assumed reversed)
Lateral petals: linear, 8 by 0.5 mm, glabrous. (assumed reversed)
Lip: from a 3 - 4 mm long, widely funnelshaped basal part spreading out into a narrowly obovate limb, 14 by 8 mm large, the lateral sides separated by a deep groove, at tip with a short ovate-ligulate lobe, finely papillate on inside in apical part only, midrib grooved above, crested on outside, one of the lateral nerves on either side thickened on inside and forming the margins of the groove, margin denticulate
Spurs: minute, conoid.
Capsule: not seen. Type Kloss s.n. (BM).
Distribution: Bandarong Valley
Ecology: Presumably in montane forest
