Type: Borneo, W Kalimantan, between Bt. Raja and Bidang Menabai, Winkler 1057 (HBG, ?+).
Distribution: West-Borneo: Ridge between Bukit Raja and Bidang Menabai (Hans Winkler n. 1057, December 25, 1924; "Flower inside and outside dark red with indicated white stripes, upper pelatum on the edge white, spur tips white, the 4 extensions white, leaf green" Closely related to C. vinosus (J.J.S.) Schltr. and also similar in color. The Borneo plant differs from the Javanese plant, which was unfortunately only described by a broken flower, by the broader claw of the dorsal sepal and the arguably shorter spurs. Description from a single specimen kept in alcohol.
Ecology: Between mosses at 1000 m in rain-forest.
Elevation: 1000 m
