SUMMARY
Plant: small, 1 - 3 cm high terrestrial.
Tuber: not seen.
Stem: 0.5-2.5 cm long, 3-winged, glabrous.
Cataphyll: tubular, 3.5-5 mm long, acuminate, 1-nerved, glabrous.
Leaves: very dark blue- green. midrib and nerves purple-red, venation light green; cordate, 12 - 18 by 8 - 14 mm, acuminate, base truncate-cordate, margin crispy-wavy, midrib impressed above, prominent below mainly in basal part, basal nerves 2 on either side of midrib, coly inner one reaching apical part, outer about halfway, suprabasal nerves 3 or 4 on either side of midrib, branched or unbranched, connate to inner basal nerve, venation very sparse; pellucid lenticels mainly along margins.
Pedicel: dark purple red, 1.5 - 1.8 mm long, glabrous.
Bract: dark purple red, linear, 5 mm long, widened and boatshaped at base, glabrous.
Ovary: narrowly cylindric, slightly oblique, 4 mm long, 6-winged, glabrous.
Median sepal: light green with purple-red ribs, from a narrow, slightly curved, boatshaped, oblanceolate, 6 - 10 mm long claw widening and somewhat strongly curved into a 6 - 8 by 5 - 7 mm large hood, obtuse, 3-nerved on claw, 11-nerved on hood, all nerves crested on hood only, but midrib crested almost along entire length, glabrous.
Lateral sepals: light green with light purple tip, linear, obliquely widened at base, subulate in apical part, 15 - 17 mm long.
Lateral petals: light green with light purple tip, linear, obliquely widened at base, subulate in apical part, 9 - 11 mm long.
Lip: white at tip, otherwise dark purple red, from an almost erect, tubular, 7 - 10 mm long basal part abruptly curved downward and spreading out into an orbicular limb, 10 by 10 mm large, obtuse, margin coarsely fimbriate mainly along apical 3/4, 3-nerved at base, up to 17-nerved along margin, glabrous
Spurs: conoid, 0.5 - 1 mm long, obtuse.
