SUMMARY
Tuber: ellipsoid. 3 - 6.5 mm by 2.5 - 5 mm.
Stem: 4 - 11 cm long, 3-winged, glabrous.
Cataphyll: widely tubular, 3.5 - 5 mm long, mucronate.
Leaves: light triangular-ovate to broadly ovate, 6 - 31 by 4 - 27 mm, apiculate, base broadly cordate or subtruncate, midrib impressed above, prominent below but less so in basal part, basal nerves 2 or 3 on either side of midrib, the 1 or 2 inner ones reaching the apical area, the outer one rather short, suprabasal nerves or 4 on either side of midrib, connate to inner basal nerve, venation widely reticulate; with pellucid lenticels mainly along margin.
Pedicel: 1 mm long, glabrous.
Bract: reflexed, linear, boatshaped, 7-14 by 0.7 - 1.1 mm, subulate in apical part, glabrous.
Ovary: not known
Median sepal: white, only at extreme tip wine red, narrowly spathulate-lanceolate, boatshaped, curved but tip curved backward, 28 - 35 by 4.5 - 7.5 mm, subabruptly long-acuminate or subcaudate, 3-nerved at base, 5-nerved on hood, midrib erose-crested on outside along entire length, the 2 innermost lateral nerves crested on hood only.
Lateral sepals: white with wine red apical parts, inserted between the spurs, linear, sigmoid, widened and oblique at base, 32 - 43 mm long, the sepals somewhat longer than petals.
Lateral petals: white with wine red apical parts, inserted between the spurs, linear, sigmoid, widened and oblique at base, 32 - 43 mm long, the sepals somewhat longer than petals.
Lip: wine red with white tip and throat, tubular-infundibuliform in lower 4-5 mm, abruptly curved downward and somewhat spreading into an suborbicular limb, 18 - 22 by 12 - 27 mm large, 3-nerved at base, up to 30-nerved near margin, margin entire, finely denticulate, on inside in a large square patch between throat and tip with scattered hispid scales, hairs on margin of throat slightly longer than elsewhere;
Spurs: narrowly conoid, 5.5 - 6.5 by 1.5 - 2 mm, glabrous.
