Field notes:
At edge of mature, secondary mossy montane forest. On mossy tree base. Locally flat area. Approx. 40 plants, several in bud. Leaf greyish green with pale veins, suffused purple between veins below. Dorsal sepal pure white outside, purple patch inside hood. Labellum white outside with purple ventricose part. Inside with numerous fine purple longitudinal streaks merging towards solid purple margin. Ovary with purple streaks, floral bract and penuncle purple.
