SUMMARY
Plant: Small, 2.7 - 4 cm high terrestrial.
Tuber: subglobose, 3.7 - 4.3 mm across.
Stem: white, 6.5 - 9 mm long, 3-winged, glabrous.
Cataphyll: tubular, 4 mm long, acuminate, 3-nerved.
Leaves: light green; cordate, 7.5 by 4.5 mm, acuminate, base cuneate, midrib flat above, prominent below, basal nerves 2 on either side of midrib, only the inner one reaching apical part of limb, suprabasal nerves 4-5, connate to inner basal nerve.
Pedicel: 0 - 1 mm long, glabrous.
Bract: not known
Ovary: obliquely curved- cylindric, 4-8 by 1.5-2 mm, 6-winged, wings irregularly fimbriate-laciniate.
Flower: with violet and white streaked median sepal, lip violet.
Median sepal: oblong-spathulate, boatshaped, 12.5 - 14 by 4.5 - 6 mm, strongly curved, obtuse, margin irregularly subcrenulate, base 3-nerved, hood 15- nerved, nerves crenulate-carinate on hood only.
Lateral sepals: obliquely triangular, 3 by 0.7 mm, subulate-acuminate in apical part, glabrous.
Lateral petals: subulate, 3 mm long, glabrous.
Lip: from a slightly curved, basal, 3 - 5 mm long part abruptly curved downward and spreading into a suborbicular- reniform limb, 5-8 mm across, obtuse, margin coarsely fimbriate in apical part only, throat somewhat longitudinally constricted, warty on outside near tip only, glabrous on inside.

Distribution: Mount Doorman (Lam 1779); Star Mountains (eastern) (Veldkamp 6426); Wau, Bulldog Road (Kores WEI 1682).
Ecology: In moss cushions of montane forests
