SUMMARY
Plant: Small, 1- 8 cm high terrestrial.
Tuber: ellipsoid or subglobose, 4 - 11 by 3 - 8 mm.
Stem: 5 - 22 mm long, 2-winged, glabrous.
Cataphyll: tubular, 3-5 mm long, acute, 1-nerved, glabrous.
Leaves: green, ovate or cordate, sometimes 3-lobed, 10 - 33 by 10 - 30 mm, apiculate, base cordate, cuneate at very base, midrib prominulous above, prominent below mainly in basal part, basal nerves 3 or 4 on either side of midrib, only one reaching apical part of limb, suprabasal nerves 4 - 7 on either side of midrib, margin sometimes crinkly-wavy; pellucid lenticels none.
Pedicel: 10 - 13 mm long, glabrous.
Bract: ovate, 4.5 - 5 mm long, acute, bracteole subulate, 0.5- 1 mm long.
Ovary: narrowly claviform, 6 - 6.5 by 1.5 mm, 6- ribbed, glabrous.
Flower: reddish purple.
Median sepal: spathulate, strongly curved and overhanging lip, 10 - 12 by 4 - 6 mm, recurved, 3-nerved at base, 15-nerved on hood, glabrous.
Lateral sepals: linear, often sigmoid, 3.5 - 4.5 mm long, acute, glabrous, petals usually narrower and shorter than sepals, sepals usually subadpressed against lip, petals more spreading (?).

Lip: tubular, slightly curved and inflated, 10 - 12 by 4.5 - 6 mm, acute, margin finely denticulate along basal part and coarser so toward tip, on inside mainly along apical part of midrib and part of throat, and slightly along margin on either side of midrib with scattered hair-like calli
Auricles: round.
Capsule: ellipsoid, 10 - 12 by 3 - 5 mm, pedicel elongate up to 11 mm.
