SUMMARY
Tuber: round or oval, long hairy, c. 0.8 cm. long, 0.4 cm. diameter
Rhizomes: clustered-hairy, with muricate hairs numerously inserted, with 1-2 scales, c. 2.5 cm. long, pilose stolons emitting tuberous tips.
Stem: with leaf margin decurrent, two-ribbed, smooth, pale green, c. 0.5-1.7 cm.
Cataphyll: adpressed, triangular, long mucronate c. 0.4-0.9 cm. long to the base
Leaf: sessile, laying horizontal, ¾ clasping stem, cordate-ovate, acute acuminate, long mucronate, basal lobes shortly round, curling, mid rib above slightly channeled, the back sharply keeled, 5-nerved, loosely veined, opaque, sub-glaucous-green, thinly white-veined and margined, c. 0.7-2.2 cm. long, 0.65-1.7 cm. wide
Bract: erect, far exceeding the ovary, subulate, long filiform-acuminate, concave, pale green, c. 0.9 cm. long
Ovary: sessile, 6-grooved c. 0.5 cm. long.
Dorsal sepal: erect, with ovary making an obtuse angle, curved, concave, spatulate-oblong from the point cuneate-oblong c. 1 cm. long, 0.2 cm wide at base, apex 0.6 cm. broad, in blade sub-5-angled spread rounded and shortly apiculate, c. 0.75 cm. long and 0.9 cm wide, gradually dilating, the base 9-nerved, branching, all the nerves on the back scarcely prominent, semi-pellucid and white, inside above decorated with a large dark purple
Lateral sepals: ascending, erect-spreading, elongated, linear-filiform, channeled, 1-veined, semitransparent and white, c. 2.8 cm long, 0.125 cm wide at base
Lateral petals: like lateral sepals, c. 4.2 cm. long, 0.13 cm wide at base
Labellum: recurved-erect, forming an obtuse angle with the ovary, much concave, lower margins incurved and forming tube, enclosing column, the front part dilating subcircular-shell-shaped limb, rounded, margin slightly wavy, becoming laciniate-erose, below entire, without callus, central area papillose, expanded c. 1.3 cm. wide; largely dark purple, inside the margin pale purple, then with a large white middle spot.
Spurs: 2, divergent, short, conical, obtuse, below the base of the petals, c. 0.13 cm. long, apex white
Column: short, recurved, making obtuse angle with ovary, c. 0.2 cm. long, large callus transversely slightly rounded at base, adnate to lip; anther erect, longitudinally conduplicate, apex rotund-bilobed with apiculum much shorter than sinus; stigma large, very prominent, equilateral trapeziform, cup-shaped

Distribution: Bangka Island: Soengei Liat, on Goenoeng Maras, 600 m., terrestrial in the moss in forest; at one spot several plants. (H. A. B. Bunnemeijer n. 1815, Oct. 1917; liv. p. cult, in Hort. J. J. Smith).
Ecology: Growing in moss at 600 m.
