Nomenclature
SUMMARY
Plant: small, 6 cm high terrestrial.
Tuber: globose, 2-3 mm across.
Stem: 2 - 3 mm high.
Cataphyll: funnelshaped, 3 mm long, caudate- acuminate, 7 - 9-nerved.
Leaves: 5-sided-ovate, 10 by 7 mm, acuminate, base cordate, midrib distinct on either side but hardly prominent, basal nerves one on either side of midrib, suprabasal nerves 3 or 4 on either side of midrib, connate to basal nerve: pellucid lenticels mainly in lower part of limb.
Pedicel: 5 mm long, glabrous.
Bract: not known
Ovary: narrowly cylindric, 5 - 8 mm long, 6-grooved.
Median sepal: spathulate, only slightly boatshaped, 23 by 8 mm, obtusish, 5-nerved at base, 13-nerved on hood, the nerves crested on inside in apical 1/3 only, finely papillate on outside of hood near tip only in an irregular crenulate band.
Lateral sepals: linear, ovate in basal part, 11 by 1 mm, acute. (assumed reversed)
Lateral petals: linear, ovate in basal part, 6.5 by 1 mm, acute. (assumed reversed)
Lip: from a very short, tubular, 3 mm long basal part abruptly widening into a 2-lobed limb, 10 by 12 mm limb, margin coarsely fimbriate at tip only, with 3 darker coloured ribs on either side of midrib and 2 or 3 longitudinal crests between the lateral nerves and midrib, lip entirely glabrous
Spurs: narrowly conoid, 3 mm long, obtuse.
Capsule: not seen.
