SUMMARY
Plant: terrestrial herb.
Stem: erect, 2-3 cm long.
Leaf: solitary, cordate, long- apiculate, 2-2.2 cm long, 1-1.2 cm wide, green veined with crimson
Peduncle: very short
Bract: setose, linear, acute, 1 cm long.
Flower: with a purple dorsal sepal, white lateral sepals and petals and a white and purple lip; pedicel and ovary 3 mm long
Dorsal sepal: oblanceolate, obtuse, 1.4 cm long, 8 mm wide, pubescent near apex on outer surface
Lateral sepals: filamentous, 1.6-2 cm long, 1 mm wide
Lateral petals: filamentous, 1.6-2 cm long, 1 mm wide
Labellum: strongly recurved in the middle, tubular at base, the apical lamina orbicular, 1 cm long, 1.2 cm wide, pubescent in the middle with erose margin
Spurs: 2 mm long, 1 mm wide at base tapering towards an obtuse apex
Column: 3-4 mm long with a large oblong stigma.
Type: Solomon Islands, Kolombangara, Cribb & Campbell 5141 (holotypus K!).
Distribution: Kolombangara.
Ecology: Growing in moss cushions on ridge-top forest
Elevation: 500-750 m.
