SUMMARY
Plant: 5-7.5 cm high
Tuber: 6-9 mm in diam., depressed-globose, hairy
Stem: glabrous
Cataphyll: single, convolute near base of stem
Leaf: solitary, 8-33 mm long, sessile just under the flower, concave cordate, acute, sometimes apiculate, green in color, the midrib and nerves white
Peduncle: none
Bract: linear-lanceolate, slightly longer
Ovary: thick, sessile, slightly shorter than bract
Flower: solitary, 15 mm long, dorsal sepal and labellum transparent, with rich dark purple markings
Dorsal sepal: oblanceolate, blunt, concave, arching over the column and the basal half of the lip
Lateral sepals: short, filiform, bifurcate, lying between the two spurs of the lip.
Lateral petals: short, filiform
Labellum: oblong, longer than the dorsal sepal, deflexed from about the middle; the basal portion convolute, with a pair of spurs, the anterior half with unequally denticulate margins, its apex blunt
Spurs: 2, short, cylindric, straight
Column: short, stout; stigma orbicular; anther erect.
Distribution: SIKKIM. Lachen Valley, Lamteng, Pantling 385 (holotype CAL, not seen; isotype K). BURMA, Delei Valley, Kingdon Ward 8432 (K).
Ecology: In moss cushions on rocks and tree bases in shade
